Simpler, faster and easier to use for teachers and Exams Officers
Welcome to the new OxfordAQA website
The changes to our website are far more than just good looks – we have taken the opportunity to make some real improvements.
1. Find what you need more easily
Our website is filled to the brim with teaching and assessment resources, guidance for schools and lots of different information. Alongside a new, streamlined design and much-improved site navigation, we have added a number of features to make it easier to find what you’re looking for.
New features include:
Use our new website Search to quickly find information, training sessions, resources and much more.
You can even use the dropdown menus to filter your search results by type, subject and qualification. The more it is used, the better our search will become!
Access our new Resources for teachers area to easily find lots of resources to help you plan, teach and assess.
Browse all our teacher support and assessment resources for your qualification here, including teacher guidance, command words and much more. You can also access secure resources such as past papers and mark schemes here.
If you’re thinking about starting a new qualification at your school, you can also view the relevant subject and qualification page to access information, including switching guides, specifications and schemes of work.
Watch and sign up for training in our new Training and events area.
Sign up for upcoming events, and find existing training to watch on demand for your subject. View all sessions here.
Find information at your fingertips in our new Exams Administration area.
In our new Exams Administration area, you can find new dedicated webpages for each stage of the exams cycle. There’s also much more information on the pages themselves (not just in PDFs!), making it easier to find what you need by browsing or via search.
You can also use our new handy timezone calculator to help you with your planning.

2. Check out our stylish new look
At OxfordAQA, we want to equip students with the 21st century skills to enable them to progress to university and beyond. That’s why higher-level skills are built into our qualifications.
Alongside future-focused subject matter, all OxfordAQA qualifications enable students to build the independent, creative, critical thinking skills that the world’s workforce of the future needs. Going further than GCSEs and A-levels, we also offer project-based learning options to international schools, including our International GCSE Plus endorsement, and our A-level standard International EPQ.
“Our ambition as an exam board has always been more than assessing knowledge with high-stakes exams – we want to qualify students to progress to their next steps in their educational journey,” explains Andrew Coombe, our Managing Director.
“This is what our new name, OxfordAQA International Qualifications, stands for – delivering International GCSEs, AS and A-levels, as well as project-based qualifications, to equip students with the skills for future success.”
Our new and improved logo
To better reflect our mission and range of qualifications, our name has changed from OxfordAQA International Examinations to OxfordAQA International Qualifications. Our logo reflects this.
3. Access information and support for parent and students
We spoke to lots of people who use our website, including teachers, Exams Officers and universities. We also asked students and parents what they need from us.
The result is our new, improved area for Parents and Students – packed full of information families need, including:
- Explanations about OxfordAQA and its key messages, such as our Fair Assessment methodology and 9-1 grading
- Useful resources such as past results and lost certificates guidance
- What to do if you have any queries about your grades
Teachers can also access our new communications toolkit to access lots of banners, logos and materials to share OxfordAQA with your school community.
4. Use our new simplified login area
There are some resources on the OxfordAQA website that aren’t freely available to all users. For example, past exam papers, mark schemes and examiners reports. These resources are available only to approved OxfordAQA centres, via a login. (This access used to be called the Online Staffroom. It is now just called the login).
Exams Officers no longer need to worry about adding/removing teachers – we will manage all of that. Once set up, you can view your simplified profile. All “active” users will be transferred over from our old system to the new system in January 2023. Our new login is a big improvement and has replaced the old Online Staffroom system on our previous website.
To log in, you must be an approved OxfordAQA school. Exams Officers can request accounts for teachers at their school via this form. If you are already set up, you can log in here.
5. Find out the latest news
Check out our Latest News section, where we share useful guidance, stories and information for schools.
Keeping international schools at the centre has always been a focus for OxfordAQA as an international exam board.
A final note: Thank you to everyone who has helped with our new website.
A particular shout out to our wonderful community of OxfordAQA Teacher Ambassadors. Your input was invaluable and we couldn’t have done it without you!
