Delivered by Andrew Giles, OxfordAQA International GCSE ESL Chief Examiner, this webinar will cover the role of the teacher-examiner, providing guidance on how to ask questions to help your students demonstrate their ability and the skills they need to access higher grades.

When switching exam boards, you want to ensure the transition is as smooth as possible for all involved: the department, individual teachers and students. Jamie Kirkaldy, Head of Teaching and Learning Support at OxfordAQA, will show how to make the switch easily and effectively, allowing everyone to start the new qualification with confidence and enthusiasm.

This session will explore how academic skills and leadership are interconnected, noting how our students can shine both as learners and leaders. We will focus on how to develop leadership by fostering empathy, creativity, and courage. Finally, we will consider why metacognition is an essential tool for leadership and what kind of leadership will be needed for an unpredictable future. We will discuss our own role as leaders and strategise how we can foster an environment that allows new leaders to flourish in our schools.
